The Kion Creative Process
Let the Fun Begin!!
You just booked Kion Creative Media (KCM) to capture your wedding. My name is Chris Githire and I am Owner/Lead Photographer with KCM, the team and I are beyond thrilled to be a part of your special day! From working with many couples over the years, I know planning a wedding can cause stress for you and your partner. Let’s go over the process, so you know what to expect along the way.
Questionnaire
After signing the contract, I’ll send over a short questionnaire to gather some details about you, your partner, and the bridal party, as well as other pertinent info on your big day. I’ll use this to create a shot list, start familiarizing myself with names of important family/friends, and get more details to help take the stress away from your wedding day.
Engagement Session
Most couples book a wedding collection that includes an engagement session. It’s a great way for us to build on our already amazing rapport, get you and your partner comfortable enough to bring out your inner superstars in front of the camera, and you’ll have some amazing photos for “save-the-date” cards, and social media posts to get everyone properly ready and excited for your wedding!
Don’t know where to take photos? Have no clue on what to wear? No worries! KCM is here to help, vast knowledge of the Raleigh/Durham area and all the “secret photo spots” that are in-between to get amazing photos, we’ll choosing a time for your session, so we can get the best possible lighting and help out with any wardrobe questions you might have.
When to expect your Images
As soon as we finish with your session, I’m finding the nearest Starbucks, backing up all of your images, and begin working on your sneak peek gallery. It normally takes 48 hours to receive the sneak peek gallery. You can expect to receive the full gallery 4-6 weeks (6-8 weeks during peak season) after your session.
Wedding Day
The big day is finally here!
Whether you choose to do a first look, or choose to keep things traditional, KCM will be there with you to help plan and navigate the day accordingly.
Arriving early to set up, meet with other vendors, and find good spots for photos later in the day.
We’ll help wrangle all of the important people for formal photos, and pose everyone so they’re comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
